For healthy men and women in Seattle, the tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, can offer a sculpted, contoured abdomen and dramatically improve body proportions. By surgically removing excess skin and fat while tightening lax abdominal muscles, a tummy tuck with cosmetic surgeon Dr. Craig Jonov can improve the body’s overall profile, offering a slimmer look and feel. Many patients seek abdominoplasty after pregnancy or weight loss, both of which take its toll on abdominal skin and muscle tone. Additionally, liposuction of the abdomen and flanks is typically included without an additional fee.

Tummy Tuck Reviews
"I could not be happier! For the first time in a long time I want to show off my belly button, wear short shirts..... Thanks!"- C. / Office Visit / Nov 12, 2014
"Dr. Jonov was my first consultation for an extended tummy tuck and liposuction of the abdomen and upper - lower back. I knew immediately he was the one. He was very compassionate I had full confidence and trust in him. My results are AMAZING. Thank you <3"- K.D. / Office Visit / Aug 18, 2015
"This is going to be a bit long winded... first. I hardly ever leave reviews but I feel like this was a definite one I needed to leave. I actually get to compare the Gallery of Cosmetic Surgery with their competitor down the the street- Cosmetic Surgery Arts Center. I originally googled close facilities near me in Lynnwood. Getting a consultation with Dr. Jonov from the gallery was easy and I instantly fell in love with the staff and how great the whole process was. The place is state of the art, I was impressed with their surgery suite and you could tell the doctor knew what he was doing. Fast forward and I was trying to figure out the financing part of it all. My goal was an abdominoplasty, muscle repair, and lipo on my hips. $10108. They offer a couple different financing options which was pretty awesome. I ended up getting my days off work and everything was set. There was some miscommunication and I thought I'd have to go someplace else being that I couldn't change my work dates off. So I scheduled a consultation with their competitor the surgery of arts place. Now as a background. I work at a hospital as a supervisor. I'm used to the medical world and can "see" things that some don't. Making an appt for a consultation was easy. I showed up and immediately I could see the difference between the two places. The two facilities are actually right down the road from each other. As I walked into the Cosmetic Surgery Arts Center here's where the differences came. This place was clearly older and a bit outdated. There wasn't anyone else in the waiting room where the other place was packed. The receptionist- she was super nice but I found out she had only been there for 6 months. Which is a red flag by itself. Most people that work at places like this stay there for a long time... She also seemed nervous when mentioning the doctors name. The nurse acted strange also. Like they were uncomfortable with Dr Wortham. It's hard to explain. When the dr came into the cramped room I was instantly put off. He had no concept of personal space. Yes. I understand that I would need to flip up my shirt to show what I needed help with. But the moment he came into the room he came way too close to me and into my bubble. It gave me the creeps. I still stayed to get his opinion. To summmarize- he said he couldn't help me with my beer belly. He could take my money but I wouldn't like my results. And he mocked his competitor to think they could help me. Maybe if I lost more weight first. I got the general impression he just didn't want to deal with me so he said whatever to shoo me away. I went to the car and cried. My beer belly was my diastasis recti that had a 4 inch separation. Thanks for making me feel like dirt dr Wortham. From the car I called the Gallery back hoping something got worked out and it did!!!! Nicole had talked to Dr Jonov and they worked things out to get me done after all. I was so relieved!!!! I had my preop appointment, got my paperwork, medication I needed to fill, and other supplies needed. Something that seriously impressed me was that he had some all natural supplies to get- vitamins, minerals etc. you don't see this very often and I give major kudos!!!! Surgery was 5 days ago. I came into the office, got dressed into my gown, and laughed with their staff. Not kidding- they are freaking awesome. Even the anesthesiologist! I couldn't stop laughing and smiling with all of them :). When it was time for the actual surgery I talked with the doctor who marked my skin and was super cool and confident about everything and then I went into the surgery suite, hopped on their table, was given an iv and boom. I don't remember a thing lol. It's been quite the healing process because it was such a major surgery but I am beyond happy with my results so far!!!!! My stomach is soooooo small and this is even with me still swelling. I will touch base again in maybe a week or so. I wanted to write this ASAP so maybe I can help somebody out there make their decision easier. Dr Jonov and his team are amazing. DO NOT go to their competitor!! Save your self esteem!"- M.Y. / Yelp / Sep 24, 2016
"Dr.Jonov is amazing. He has very gigh expectations of me which i truly appreciate because intend to fall off the wagon and procrastinate. He truly does care. I had an extendes abdomnioplasty along with smart Lipo in my back and stomach. My incision line is so straight that i dont even mind showing off my scar from hip to hip. I had some fluid retention and he is taking care of it this Monday to ensure that i get the exact results I want."- K.D. / Yelp / Dec 16, 2015
"I am a single mother in her early 30's. Giving birth to two wonderful children was beautiful and life changing. Unfortunately, it also changed my body in ways that I could not repair on my own. No amount of time in the gym could get rid of the extra skin and stretch marks on my stomach or my sagging breasts. I have always had a lot of confidence, but became very unhappy with my post pregnancy body. My husband found the "Mommy Makeover" procedures and encouraged me to do something for myself that I could feel good about. I chose Dr. Jonov because of his expertise, candor, and from recommendations from past clients. The tummy tuck and breast lift that I received are fairly invasive procedures and not to be taken lightly. My goal was not to improve on what God gave me, but to get my body back. I am currently only six weeks post surgery and am extremely happy with my results. For the first time in six years, I will be comfortable wearing a bikini again this coming summer. I feel good about myself when I look in the mirror and have confidence about my body when I am out in public. It is a wonderful feeling! Thank you, Dr. Jonov."- J.E. / Google / Nov 02, 2014
Full Tummy Tuck@headingTag>
A traditional (full) tummy tuck is suitable for both men and women who have a moderate amount of excess skin in their midsection. It is commonly performed on women post-pregnancy. During this surgery, the incision extends from hipbone to hipbone, which grants the surgeon access to a greater portion of the internal structures. Liposuction is used to remove fat and the abdominal muscles are pulled and tightly secured. The belly button is usually repositioned for natural placement.
Mini Tummy Tuck@headingTag>
Individuals who are in relatively good shape but desire a flatter tummy may be good candidates for a mini tummy tuck (known as a “Brazilian tummy tuck”). These patients have loose abdominal fascia, but the muscles aren’t stretched to the point where a full tummy tuck is necessary. During surgery, a smaller incision is made along the lower abdomen, liposuction is used to remove excess fat, and the remaining skin is pulled tight. The belly button is not affected by this surgery.
Extended Tummy Tuck@headingTag>
The extended tummy tuck is reserved for patients who require major skin tightening and body contouring following a major weight loss. The extended tummy tuck requires a longer incision that extends beyond the hips, as well as another one around the navel. Liposuction is used and the excess skin is trimmed away and tightened. The belly button is repositioned during this surgery.
A tummy tuck is performed under general anesthesia in an accredited surgical facility and typically takes around 2 hours to complete. It is considered an outpatient procedure. After surgery, patients will wear a compression garment and will need to rest for the first 48 hours. They should make a concerted effort to move around in order to help promote blood circulation, but should only attempt to initially stand at a 45-degree angle to protect the incision. Pain medication will be provided to help with post-operative pain. Clearance to resume exercise is usually given around 4-6 weeks.
The price for abdominoplasty will vary depending on the technique used, the patient’s condition and aesthetic goals, as well as other factors relating to the surgical case. However, on average, most patients can expect to pay between $6,800-$12,500 for their tummy tuck procedure.

Tummy Tuck FAQ’s@headingTag>
Tummy Tuck or Lipo?@headingTag>
Patients who have loose skin in the lower abdomen may be better candidates for a skin tightening procedure such as a tummy tuck. If a patient is battling unwanted belly fat, but otherwise has good skin tone, liposuction (which removes fat only) may be all that is needed.
Abdominoplasty can be combined with another cosmetic procedure, such as breast augmentation, a breast lift or liposuction that targets another area of the body. This is sometimes referred to as a “Mommy Makeover” and is considered a common practice, especially where pregnancy, weight gain and breast-feeding are concerned.
What About Scarring?@headingTag>
Unfortunately, scarring is a part of this procedure. However, every effort is made to minimize scarring, and the incisions are generally placed in locations easily concealed by undergarments. For women who have had a previous C-section, the original C-section scar will be replaced with the tummy tuck incision. Most patients feel the physical results of this surgery far outweigh any scarring left behind.
New Pregnancy? Weight Gain?@headingTag>
For optimal results, it is recommended that patients wait to have abdominoplasty until after all pregnancies have been completed. This is to ensure the stretching and weight gain that occurs with pregnancy does not compromise the results of the surgery.
